...and another brutal heat wave with high temperatures and high humidity, at least in Ontario.

And fireworks? Really?

Fireworks used to be Victoria Day (celebrating the Queen's official birthday) and Canada Day (July 1, the Canadian version counterpart to July 4 Independence Day in the US).

Now it seems it's every long weekend. And we try to have one of those every month.

Mindy the Cat doesn't like fireworks. Therefore they should be stopped. :D

Haha David poor you and poor Mindy, I can relate - and ditto on 2 points...

The heat - I am soooo tired of it. It's been 90s and 100s here all summer. I moved away from Cali to get away from the heat. Can't wait for fall! (At least we get one of those here in Utah!)

And the fireworks... my 2 dogs are deathly afraid of them and since there are legal in Utah, they've been going off every night. So about the time we go out for our last potty break BOOM, they start. Pups are so freaked I can't even get them outside past dark any more.

Check out Thundershirts on Amazon or pet stores.

They apparently work to calm anxious cats or dogs, according to friends and relatives.

Oh ya heard about those at the dog park. The fireworks are just finally starting to calm down and are not as intense/often as they were.
