Anyone else ever seen anything like that before? I'm gonna take a closer look tomorrow to try to see how that was done. Just thought I'd share it with you all as well.
Note from Linda: I added screen shot in case it's...
Hey everyone...
I am setting up call tracking (with CallRail) on a website. As you probably know, CallRail will swap out every instance of the normal number with a call tracking number so I can figure out which traffic sources are generating the most leads.
CallRail automatically changes all...
I also have a client with a high ranking Facebook page that I set up for them. Did no backlinking to it or anything. I just link to it from the client website. It's definitely not as competitive as Beverly Hills cosmetic dentist, but still a decent amount of search volume, and it ranks quite well.
Good news!
I replied back to Google last night asking what I could do in the meantime. Should I remove the listing and start new again (I really had no intention of doing that, would lose many reviews)? They replied back saying they would look into it some more and get back to me. Within a...
Alright everyone. I did receive a reply from Google. This was the email:
What do you all think about this response? This sounds like the type of response that you got with the "we currently do not support this location" issue. Basically, they don't know what's causing it and have no...
Hey Linda,
Thank you for the reply. I did fill out the troubleshooter before posting this thread, but as you said, I know there is a very long wait time before I hear back from anyone.
Thanks for the suggestion about using phone support. My client is in the US, so I went ahead and got...
Hey everyone,
I am having a really strange problem that I've never encountered before...
For a client of mine, when you Google their business name on a mobile device, their local listing pops right up at the top with the map, business name, address, etc. Everything is correct, except the...
Thanks for posting that article Phil. The key point I got from that is...
So if your data that Google is showing on your Google+ Local page is Terrell Hogan, 233 E Bay St, #804, Jacksonville, FL 32202, then I would assume that is the exact NAP data you'd want to use across the web.
But then...
I'd be curious to hear what other opinions are on this, but in my opinion, I would try to match it to the way it is displayed on your Google+ Local page. With that said, I do think Google is smart enough to realize that they are the same, but it's better to be safe than sorry.
@ Linda:
Wow, I very rarely see a scenario like that. Is the page that's ranking in organics the main homepage, or is it an innerpage on the site?
@ Marie:
From what I've read, the only way to have a double listing (organics and in the maps) is to rank an inner-page on the site.
So your G+...
It works. Just create a small article in Word and add your links to the bottom, with their citation and all. Then upload it to SlideShare. It doesn't have to be a Powerpoint.
Hey everyone,
Have a client/friend of mine that was slapped (or penalized) by Google for not hiding their address. I've filled out the forms saying my listing no longer appears, and actually got a response back from a real person (not a canned response, WOAH) and they said that since his...
Yes, it will be interesting to see. The only difference between your process and mine is that you had to manually correct the address through the "Correct Address" link. My client's address was already in there.
I've done so much with this client listing because of issues after issue, it'd be...
Hey Linda,
I have a client in the same situation... Service area business with the address not being displayed. However, when I went to verify the business through the Google+ page, it actually showed the full address. I double-checked to make sure that his address is not being displayed, and...
