Suspension - First one in a long time

In the case of my own two: they still appear in my Google My Business agency dashboard, marked Suspended, but they do not appear in local search results (ouch!) The fact that they are losing out on appearing in search results while they take weeks to even respond or acknowledge requests for...

    Google suspension cause

I have submitted a LOT of "suggest an edit" entries and many of them have been accepted. I am VERY careful to make sure that my edits are well-grounded. So far, so good, but right now it seems as if the majority opinion says that it's better to stop making "suggest an edit" submissions and...

    GMB Shortname - naming conventions

For my company's shortname, I chose Healthcareseo. That may never help with ranking but it's easier to remember than "aservantsheartwebdesignandmarketing" or "ashwdm"

Suspension - First one in a long time

I was born here (in Omaha) and have visited many times (my mom's family is in Plattsmouth) so I knew what sort of weather we were getting into. ;)

    Interesting BBB stats

That is interesting but not surprising. It seems like Google has a fetish for BBB membership even though BBB is essentially an advertising scheme.

Suspension - First one in a long time

Seems like Google really messed this up when they decided to turn on the suspension switch this time. By the way, @Conor Treacy , I'm writing this from a hotel room in Omaha right now. I have been here for a few days for a family reunion, and we return home to San Diego tomorrow. :D

Suspension - First one in a long time

Nope: we never received a response to the initial request, nor did we receive a notice of the suspension in the first place. Sadly, it's beginning to be a close call between Google and Yelp as to which is the more high-handed, arbitrary and capricious in the way it treats businesses. 🤬

Suspension - First one in a long time

@JoyHawkins Thank you I resubmitted the first one and received this response: However, I don't think I received any initial response. I'll go back and check, though.

Suspension - First one in a long time

Over a week on the first one. The day before I started this thread. I'd better re-submit it, I suppose. Thanks, Joy! :)

Suspension - First one in a long time

@JoyHawkins should I be concerned about Google not having responded to our suspension repeal form submissions with a case number or anything?

Suspension - First one in a long time

Two points of clarification, at least for my two suspensions: 1) I have not received any acknowledgement from Google about filing requests for reconsideration 2) Both occurred after I made edits via our Agency dashboard.

More Places to become More Businesses ?

I'm seeing it for "caregivers" but not for "hospices" in San Diego.

Suspension - First one in a long time

Interesting. I DID change the URL on the first one that got suspended, and I *think* I changed the UTM tag on the second one that got suspended. Google is hard to work with when they behave like this.

Suspension - First one in a long time

Still no response to our reinstatement request. Nor to the new, second, suspension that we have now received for another client's account. However, we DID receive an email from Google, asking whether the first one will be open on July 4th. Sigh. They are either incompetent or something else...

Suspension - First one in a long time

For the record, today one of our client GMB locations was suspended for "quality issues". The only thing we've changed recently, other than publishing Posts and uploading new Photos, is that yesterday we changed the URL for that listing to a the company's home page, instead of the location page...

    GMB pre-production profile registration

@rivsrush, those are all Google services that are different from the Google My Business service, and you should not have any problems with those those things. Are you going to use G Suite for the email and calendar setup?

    GMB pre-production profile registration

Hehe... @Colan Nielsen beat me to it by a few seconds. ;) I thought the limit was 30 days in advance but I defer to his knowledge.

    GMB pre-production profile registration

However, you CAN publish a GMB listing with an "opening date" that is up to one month in the future. Kind a "coming soon" sort of thing.

Removing Facebook company pages - a little help?

It's been a while but I'll try to find the messages and emails. The last time I attempted to get this resolved was last January. Thanks for your continuing interest and support, @JoshuaMackens. :)

Removing Facebook company pages - a little help?

I DO have access to them, because they were created by the client long ago and I now have access to the client's pages. Facebook just refuses to accept my requests to delete those pages or to merge them into the "main" one. Facebook is about as easy to deal with as a particularly obstinate...

Removing Facebook company pages - a little help?

Thanks, @Phil Rozek and @Cherie Dickey These are not "unofficial" ones, though. The client created them for their five locations years ago, and now they want to condense them all down into just one. Ugh.
