In the case of my own two: they still appear in my Google My Business agency dashboard, marked Suspended, but they do not appear in local search results (ouch!)
The fact that they are losing out on appearing in search results while they take weeks to even respond or acknowledge requests for...
I have submitted a LOT of "suggest an edit" entries and many of them have been accepted. I am VERY careful to make sure that my edits are well-grounded.
So far, so good, but right now it seems as if the majority opinion says that it's better to stop making "suggest an edit" submissions and...
Seems like Google really messed this up when they decided to turn on the suspension switch this time.
By the way, @Conor Treacy , I'm writing this from a hotel room in Omaha right now. I have been here for a few days for a family reunion, and we return home to San Diego tomorrow. :D
Nope: we never received a response to the initial request, nor did we receive a notice of the suspension in the first place.
Sadly, it's beginning to be a close call between Google and Yelp as to which is the more high-handed, arbitrary and capricious in the way it treats businesses. 🤬
Two points of clarification, at least for my two suspensions:
1) I have not received any acknowledgement from Google about filing requests for reconsideration
2) Both occurred after I made edits via our Agency dashboard.
Still no response to our reinstatement request. Nor to the new, second, suspension that we have now received for another client's account.
However, we DID receive an email from Google, asking whether the first one will be open on July 4th.
Sigh. They are either incompetent or something else...
For the record, today one of our client GMB locations was suspended for "quality issues". The only thing we've changed recently, other than publishing Posts and uploading new Photos, is that yesterday we changed the URL for that listing to a the company's home page, instead of the location page...
@rivsrush, those are all Google services that are different from the Google My Business service, and you should not have any problems with those those things. Are you going to use G Suite for the email and calendar setup?
I DO have access to them, because they were created by the client long ago and I now have access to the client's pages.
Facebook just refuses to accept my requests to delete those pages or to merge them into the "main" one.
Facebook is about as easy to deal with as a particularly obstinate...
Thanks, @Phil Rozek and @Cherie Dickey
These are not "unofficial" ones, though. The client created them for their five locations years ago, and now they want to condense them all down into just one. Ugh.
