I had the same thought as Linda. You can always call Google Support and ask them whats going on. There's a 50/50 chance that you will get someone that can help shed some insight and they may even fix it for you.
I've used quite a few.
My preference for analysis is definitely screaming frog.
Raven or SEOrch comes in second since It's a little easier to read especially when you need to relay that info to your clients...
Re: Pigeon Analysis - New Insights about this Crazy Google Local Algo & the Constant
I also have noticed that Apartment searches have disappeared. Searches like "Apartments In Salt Lake City" however, "Apartments Near Me" shows the pack. It's possible that Google is wanting more of a localized...
A little late to the party but I will put my 2 cents in anyway. I have noticed that, not only what Linda said earlier about the keyword density, but sites that tend to rank in the maps pack usually have the Google+ page linked in some way. Either through the publisher tag hidden on their site...
We recently did a case study for our industry and would love if someone else would be able to do one since we are restricted to a specific demographic. The case study shows that, aside from branded terms, keywords rank low on the first page, or not at all, are driving near %66 of...
Well ok, so maybe its not missing but it isn't searchable in Google Maps. A recent search shows that searching for "San Antonio, TX" does not yield any results for the city. The old Google Maps only shows one listing called "San Antonio Car Carrier". - Props to those guys for some good local SEO...

2. The places listing must be merged with the + Page. (This will not work unless they are merged.)
3. From the Google+ page dashboard - assign a manager to the page.
In the new account
1. Accept the...
I just tried this method with a client that has the old dashboard. IT worked!!
They need to have a Google+ Local page built and merged with the old dashboard listing though.
The really good part.....
The listing was pending in the old dashboard and now, in my account and the new...
