Where do you point your citations to then? Do you link to the home page or the location pages?
I already use Get Five Stars with my clients so I'll definitely be using it on this site too!
Thanks! I always go back and forth on this. I know at one point talking to Phil Rozek he said it's best to link your GMB listings to the home page (because the home page often has more juice than the location pages).
I think I will create two location landing pages but I'm torn on whether or...
My client has two physical locations in two different states. She provides translation services.
On her website I have both locations in the footer and on the "Contact Us" page. However, I'm wondering if I should have a location landing page for each location. If this is "best practices" these...
I'm just going to jump in here with my two cents...which is all it's probably worth;)
When I go to the Chamber Directory, it appears the links are indeed indexed by Google.
For starters, the main Contractors category page is indexed...
You're a genius! The second listing is Bing!! Good eye:)
The client told me he saw it on Google so I didn't give it second thought (just assumed I was looking at a Google result). Arggg.
P.S. Should I set up the Bing listing like the Google listing so it's...
Hey Linda! Great to hear from you. Thanks for pointing out the typo. I can't believe so many people missed that! I missed it, the dentist missed it, and his entire staff missed it too. Geez.
This is a solo practitioner so that's why it's set up the way it is. Glad to hear I did it right.
Thanks for the link to Joy's article. It was very helpful!
Here are the specific business details. Here is the practitioner listing I set up and we claimed several weeks ago. This is the only thing I see when I search for his name:
This is a...
I'm working with a dentist in another state. When he Googles his practice name he gets his main practice listing shown in the knowledge graph on the right side of the search results. It's not claimed, however, as it says, "Is this your business?"
In the meantime, I set up a practitioner...
Thanks for confirming! If you get any updates on this issue and remember this thread, please post an update. Otherwise, I'll put iBegin aside for now and circle back to it later. Hopefully by then it will be squared away.
I've always included a listing on iBegin as a citation source for my clients. I went there today to claim/edit an existing listing and the page to submit a business or claim one is broken.
I noticed on the bottom of the listing that it's powered by Yext. Does that mean unless you're using Yext...
Yes, only 1 doctor. Sorry. I should have provided that info originally.
Joy...do you have any blog posts on how to uncover duplicate listings these days (especially now that Map Maker is closed)? I want to check to be sure this client doesn't have any duplicates. No other listings come up...
Thanks Chad. I did that already so good to know I'm on the right track. I'll just sit tight now for 7 days. Any suggestions on the other questions I had - about the name change and address change?
I'm working with a endodontist who has a claimed Google Maps listing. My client doesn't recall claiming it but he said it's possible. Either way, he has no logins to it as it would have been claimed "a long time ago." Furthermore, he said it was likely a staff employee that set it up that is no...
For others reading this I thought I would provide an update on how I was able to get to Google support. If you keep digging through the Google support pages you'll eventually find an email option. It's buried:)
I sent them an email request on this and within literally a few hours they merged...
