GMB Category: Why is "Dental Implants" linked to "Periodontist?"

Thanks. I've created a post and did my best to back it up with some evidence. The post can be found here: Business category "dental implants periodontist" is misleading and should be changed. - Google My Business Help

How Do You Update a Yellow Pages Listing?

From my experience, if there's no "Claim this business" button, the listing is already claimed. (Usually updated via Business Listings from YP. Yellow Pages Online Directory. ) Finding out who owns it and what email was used can be a real challenge. For me, it's usually a matter of having the...

GMB Category: Why is "Dental Implants" linked to "Periodontist?"

Our agency focuses mainly on marketing for dentists. We've heard from many of our clients that they could face possible ramifications with the dental board if they falsely advertise themselves as a specialist. So, for example: A General Dentist can treat gum disease, but that doesn't make them...

Where did the FB verify option go?

I'm experiencing the same thing. (I'm also finding the Page Roles page to be blank for a number of pages we manage; can't add or remove people.)

    Local SEO and Fiverr

I've had the opportunity to use a client's Yext dashboard and found it amazing how fast the citations were changed. A few years ago I did these manually, and our company has tried a few other services. From my experience, there are a lot of sites that are extremely difficult to get corrections...

    Selling business with practitioner listing

None of these offices had practice names, so there has only been a single Google listing for each, under the dentist's name. So far, it does sound like the best idea is for them to change to a practice name prior to retiring. (I believe, in two of the cases, the original dentist will be working...

Thanks for the suggestion, Yan. This is what we were discussing at the office.

    Selling business with practitioner listing

My agency is working with three dentists who are in similar situations: One has recently purchased a practice from another dentist, and two are selling their practices to new dentists (who may end up replacing them as our new clients). Part of what they're buying/selling is the strength of the...

    Solo practitioner listings on Yelp/Yahoo/Bing

Just thought I'd post a follow up to this. I was conversing with Yelp support and they're now telling me that, if the listings are merged, they will remove the doctor's name entirely. So, now the options are: Two separate listings, named: [Practice Name] [Dentist Name] - [Practice Name] Or...

Solo practitioner with two dental offices - Should the listings be merged?

That was one of my concerns as well, but I've been assured that there are no plans to add additional dentists to the practice. I always try to make certain this is the case before I recommend merging listings. It might be interesting to know what the process is if we ever had a dentist who does...

Solo practitioner with two dental offices - Should the listings be merged?

I'm working with a dentist who owns two locations. He's the only dentist and moves between them. Google currently has three listings; one for the dentist and one for each location. My question is: Should I merge the practitioner listing with the corresponding location? Should both listings...

    Solo practitioner listings on Yelp/Yahoo/Bing

As Joy points out below, Yelp refuses to use Google's naming format, so it's not possible to make them match. One of our clients submitted the request to have them merge the practice and practitioner listings...but they removed the practitioner's name entirely from the site. It's one of the...

    Solo practitioner listings on Yelp/Yahoo/Bing

Thanks, Linda. To clarify, here's one of our clients. He's the only dentist in the office, so we've set his GMB listing up like this: Yelp will not allow this format on their listing for the practice, so it only has the practice name. The problem we're having now is that Yelp not only...

    Solo practitioner listings on Yelp/Yahoo/Bing

The advice I've repeatedly seen on setting up solo practitioner listings on Google is to use the [practice name]: [practitioner name] format. What I'd like to know is, does anyone know what to do with Yelp? The format used on Yelp appears to influence how the business is listed on Yahoo and...

    How to Reclaim YouTube Channel

I had a similar problem with a client last year. They had a problem with someone holding almost all of their Google accounts hostage. I was forced to try pretty much every support option available. YouTube support and forums were little help, telling me that nothing could be done. What ended up...

Search results are much worse months after merging.

That's quite likely. Prior to using our agency, I don't think anything was done with Dr. Kaminski's listings. We've been trying to get them closed, merged or removed where we can.

Search results are much worse months after merging.

The original page was "Olney Dental Center" I'm not sure about the second one, but I doubt it was exactly that. More likely it was something like "Levine Eric DDS" I've been attempting to standardize the dentist's name where possible.

Search results are much worse months after merging.

Hi. I just wanted to follow up on this and see if anyone had any ideas on what happened and how to reverse it. This dentist used to show up in the 3-pack when searching for a dentist in the area, but after merging the two listings, he comes up in 8th place on Maps. Thanks for your help!

I originally thought it was March, but I checked the records again, and I see the merge was completed on August 23rd, 2017.

Search results are much worse months after merging.

One of our clients switched to our agency to handle his online presence earlier this year. He had two listings on Google at the time; an unclaimed one under his name and a managed one under his practice name. We had Google Support merge the two together, and it's now listed as: Olney Dental...
