Considering the often life-or-death impact these things can have on small businesses, Google sure seems to take a cavalier approach to what it does sometimes. Perhaps not on purpose, really, but just plain negligent and unconcerned for the harm that their negligence can cause.
Is anyone seeing this option in their clients' GMB listings yet? We have not seen it in any of the ones for our clients.
I know that it's not yet clear whether this short name attribute will have any SEO benefit.
Nonetheless, it's frustrating to not have access to this while it is slowly...
Upon review this morning, I can report that this "POI Establishment" category has been added to almost every one of the GMB locations in my Agency Dashboard (that's the only dashboard that I use so it may or may not be a factor).
While I removed the first instance that I saw yesterday and...
GMB told me today that one of my clients' GMB listings had a "pending change" in which it was adding a category called "POI Establishment" to the listing.
Does anyone know what that category means? I declined the change because I don't know what it means. The client is a home health care and...
Hi Pete -
I can sure understand your frustration with this situation.
One thing to consider would be the difference between your backlink profiles. Your site has more "dofollow" links than AtoZ, but AtoZ has far more dofollow referring domains, according to ahrefs.
Thank you, @JoyHawkins .
In this case, no, the GMB listing shows no hours. Also, it's just plain spammy that it begins with the name of the hospice, not the physician. At least, that's my opinion (and everyone is entitled to my opinion, right? :D )
I have a hospice agency client who has a competitor that lists their own entity on GMB and that also has a fair number of fake duplicate listing with the names of their so-called medical directors. These medical directors are physicians who are on a monthly retainer to the hospice agency and who...
To be fair, I don't know anything at all about how their (1) their features, or (2) their support are since I fired Grade.us and switched to GatherUp in May 2018.
What I can say is that at that time, a year ago, support at Grade.us was bad (as mentioned above) and the features were, well, not...
I do not recommend Grade.us
I used to use them but I found that their support became unreliable and unresponsive. For a period of an entire week, they did not respond to requests for support.
GatherUp is easier to use, more useful in many ways, and their support is superb.
One problem to be aware of is when a Google person gets involved, they can sometimes be "hyper-dog vigilant" about similarly-named SABs in the same location. I have someone who has three distinctly different companies (different corporations) involved in different industries but all branded with...
