Client Moved - Google+ Local shows updated Address but Old Location

Client had to move their business across town. I updated the address in the new dashboard and while the new address is showing live, if you click on the address link it takes you to the physical location of the old business location (and thus screws directions up, and so forth)

    Here's the page: https://plus.google.com/105694505866639523587

and here is the map location of the new/current business address,

    https://www.google.com/maps/preview#...0!2i775!4f13.1

I think this is mapmaker issue but I'm nervous about mucking something up further.

    Hi Daniel,

You updated address in G+ dash, not Places dash correct? Because it's a merged page and after you merge you aren't supposed to edit in Places dash.

In the G+ business does it give you the option to move the map marker like the old Places dash did?
(Not sure, have never tried it.)

Re: Client Moved - Google+ Local shows updated Address but Old Location

I only edited the clients information in the G+ Dash and never touched the places dash. When I changed the address in the G+ Dash, the address marker automatically updated. The strange part was that I was never told that I would need to re-verify via PIN, and still haven't.

Please see attached for what I am seeing on the G+ Dash

Hmmm, a little odd on both counts. 1) That it didn't require a pin and 2) That the location is correct in dash but not on maps.

How long ago did you change address?

Wait you said you were afraid to move marker in MM? But I see a marker move back in Feb.
Was that related to this move or something else?

Odd too that in MM it does not show a change of address edit.

Re: Client Moved - Google+ Local shows updated Address but Old Location

Re: Previous Map Maker Marker Move (Wow the alliteration) I added a rode segment, because she had a 0.5 mile driveway off the street side address, and being in the middle of rural area its easy to get lost.

That said some of my other map maker edits have gotten denied, so I am not quite sure what's going to happen if I try to move a marker ~15-20 miles. Or do I need to mark the existing map maker marker closed and setup a new one? But if I do that, will it synch with the existing entry in Google+? Thus my fear.

Re: Client Moved - Google+ Local shows updated Address but Old Location

Again, how long ago did you change address?

The reason it's important to know is, if it was just a couple weeks ago then I would wait to see if it syncs. Even if it's been a month I'd maybe wait...

OR call phone support. I'd do that before messing around with MM and maybe messing something up or having an edit get ignored.

But if for some odd reason you dont want to call support and get an instant fix, then because I'm leary of editing directly in MM, I'd do a user edit here instead and move the marker, then it goes to MM and someone there will check it and approve it.

Sorry about that Linda. Its been less than two months but more than two weeks since I edited the address in the Google+ Dash.

No worries Daniel. So, based on how important it is to client you can decide to wait a little longer to see if it syncs, call support and have them fix it right away Tues or do user edit and wait for it to go through.
