Big Blended Results in Google SERP

Google has visually updated the Blended SERP results to now display a much larger title tag and a drop-shadow. The update aligns with the Google Local knowledge graph appearance but seems to be limited to branded (navigational) queries at this time.

Re: Big Blended Results in Google SERP

    Confused???

To me that's not a blended search result, that's a brand search.

To me blended is the 7 pack for a general terms. And I'm not seeing any difference there. Only names, no title tag.

I'm seeing the longer title tag for 'brand searches, but not a drop shadow, not even in Alex's screen shot. Am I missing something???

I did hear today about what appears to be an algo update but it seems to be affecting a different data center than the one I'm sitting on. Still investigating.

Re: Big Blended Results in Google SERP

    Hey Linda,

I was referring to merged results (local and organic).. sometimes i accidentally say blended.

I'm not seeing the updates anymore in results either, maybe it's not new, but new to me.

I've made a comparison, the title was much bigger and the drop-shadow was around the entire result. The same style drop-shadow as the knowledge graph

Ahhh, thanks for clarifying Alex. Thought you were saying drop shadow on the title so that's where I was looking.

It's not really a big update, but when i seen the results this morning the top result at first glance appeared to resemble the knowledge graph which made it stand out from the remaining results.

I don't see it either. Could be browser related?
