Hello All! Scott from Sunny Tampa, FL Here

Congratulations Linda on the Forum Launch!!

David - Looking forward to brainstorming with you as well as all other members!

Like several others who've already posted Intros, we've studied Local SEO for several years now and have searched out best practices to help SMBs (that we believe offer quality products/services) outrank their competitors.

And our goal is to accomplish this while returning a Positive ROI for their marketing investment!

The Challenge: every client's situation is different [how long they've been in biz, past marketing history, USP, competition level, budget (every client has one, right? ), expectation level, etc]. Yet, there are similarities that can be applied across these different industries.

The frustration (already mentioned in a couple of other Intros) is that everything is moving at breakneck speed! A quick glance at Mihm's article shows just how overwhelming keeping up with Places alone was and this was before the Major Changes that have taken place since it was published earlier this year.

It is IMPOSSIBLE to stay on Top of Every single development in Local along with all the other factors (Organic, Social, Mobile, etc) that now affect Local without being connected with Industry Leaders like Linda, deciding on a strategy and implementing that strategy using the best info available from Linda, Mihm and others who live and breathe Local 24/7/365.

And if this is what it takes to gain the edge over your competitors, just think about the small business owner who's trying to run their business at the same time. They need us and we need them.

Outside of Word of Mouth, Local is THE BEST Value for these SMBs. That's why a Forum like this is so important - so we can sift through ALL the info out there and quickly determine what is the most relevant and important and Apply It! And it only takes helping a Couple of SMBs and you will have Word of Mouth working for you too (and as much as I love the warm leads we generate online for ourselves and customers, you just can't beat Excited Clients telling other SMBs how you've helped them grow their business!)

Looking forward to sharing best practices while staying on Top of the latest Local Developments with you all.

And again, thanks to Linda and David Baxter for their time and effort creating this community!
