Google: Reviews, How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

If one stops and counts how many times the word review or the star ratings show on the front page of Google one can only conclude that Google not only thinks they are important but that they are of tantamount importance in local searches. Re: Google: Reviews, How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

My take back in early 2012 was that this was going to be huge, and now we are seeing the integration of search, social, and reputation coming together.

Although there are glitches (understatement) my thoughts are to always work to provide an integrative approach and not ignore elements that may become important in the future, or that might disappear only to reappear later.

Glad to see the highlights but it is the consumer that is likely influenced by the stars and reviews that is important to the business owner.

I'd love to see some numbers from the larger markets on this trend.

Now, if we could only get those reviews to stick on that platform!
