    Basic Map Maker Questions

    Is there any benefit to review and making edits in map maker in your local area? What I mean is, will being prolific in maps maker mean that the changes you make for clients in google+ and maps maker carry more weight in the eyes of google?

    Google hasn't officially said anything about this, but applying some common sense, YES. The more active you are, the more weight any of your edits would carry. This is similar to how Yelp has Elite Reviewers.

    Yes # of edits and % of approved edits builds your rep in MM and I've heard makes it easier to get legit edits approved.

    @LocalReviewGuy

    Your edits (including for clients) would also still be scrutinized by other editors.

    Re: Basic Map Maker Questions

    I use MM to help correct bad info on local listings for clients. Definitely gets easier as you make more edits that actually get approved. I think it's a great tool to use to help your clients, as long as you're not doing anything malevolent to businesses that don't deserve it.
