    Linda Needs Help - Please Read

    Hi guys, if any of my regulars are reading this, I really need your help.

    For 2 week now I've been having a serious email problem where all my business emails are going to spam folders and marked with a Phishing warning saying they are from an unsafe source. So new prospects seldom see my replies and just think I'm a flake that didn't follow up.

    But now I'm having a related problem that leads me to think the forum newsletter as well as forum emails to you, alerting you to new threads or PMs are not getting through.

    Now since this phishing email problem happened, suddenly I am not getting PM alert emails or the Forum newsletter. Emails FROM me - TO me, are not even getting through! Finally found them buried in a black hole. Not in spam or trash, but just in "all mail". (In Gmail.) They are filtered as important too and have always gotten through to my inbox until this week.

    The forum emails go out through a different email server. Plus for me at least the forum emails don't have any type of warning and they are not going to spam. Just getting stuck in nowhere land so you won't see them unless you check "all mail" in Gmail which most people never check. So I am trying to figure out what the heck is going on!

    SO REGULARS - Could you please do me a favor and weigh in below with answers to these questions to help me troubleshoot this?

    Did you get newsletter that went out a 11 PST today?

    Please weigh in even if you got it

    Either way please let me know what email service you are using. Gmail? or other???

    If you did not get it and are on Gmail, please check spam, then trash then "all mail"
    Then let me know if and where you found it.

    And last but not least was there any type of warning?


    Thanks so much! I'm spending hours every day with tech support at my ISP, posting at the Gmail forum and researching, just trying get to the bottom of this. To say nothing of emailing folks 3 - 4 times from different accounts just to try to find one email that will get through to them. I'm ready to find a bridge, this is just eating my time and killing my business!

    Linda - that does not sound good.

    But to answer your questions, the only emails I get from the Forum are on threads that I reply to. No email about the newsletter today. I saw just it by checking in. I use WorkSpace Webmail through godaddy.

    Hope that helps with what you need.

    Hi Linda-

    I am in the same situation. I only get emails if there is a reply to a thread I posted to. I haven't gotten an email about the newsletter today. I use Google apps and did check spam and everywhere else. Didn't see anything at all other then a thread I responded to.

    Hope you get the email issue resolved soon-

    No newsletter but I do get the alerts. I use Gmail.

    I've had a similar problem in the past when I would send out long emails with too many links in it or mention the word Google too many times.

    Interesting Louis. Maybe this is unrelated and that's the problem. Because the newsletter is obviously long with lot of links.

    But for me even forum PM alert emails go to the black hole and they are short with just one link.

    You got it Colan??? I think it's mainly Gmail that does not like me but Scott didn't get the newsletter either.

    I just turned off the newsletter for now in case it's causing me problems and since it appears hardly anyone is getting it anyway.

    Off to do more research...

    OH AND PLEASE if anyone happens to know a pro email consultant (not just I have a friend thats pretty good with email) but like an email security type that knows how to troubleshoot spam false positives, please PM or email me. I can't keep taking time trying to investigate something I don't know that much about. Time to bring in the big guns!

    I got the 11 PST newsletter today to my email from my original user name that is tied to a gmx.com email address.

    I got a "Reply To Thread" email on 3/2/2014 to the email tied to this user name and that goes through Go Daddy. I don't seem to ever get the newsletter emails on this user/email.

    Hope that helps.
