    Does Google Re-Write your title tags in search results?

    Is it time to re-think your title tags if Google keeps changing them. Matt Cutts gives us a bit of information on the subject.


    How does Google choose titles for search results?

    What criteria does Google use to change the < title > it shows in the SERPs depending on the query? Does Schema influence that? Maybe headings (h1, H2...) have a weight?

    I know they do this a lot for brand name related searches lately and they will re-write for the brand name. Besides that, I have never heard anything super valuable that isn't addressed in the vid.

    I have seen them rewriting them more lately even for non brand searches, for the clients I saw this happening for the title tag was too long and slightly spammy
