Red face Nyagoslav (A Local Search Fan) Says Hi

    Hi everyone!

My name is Nyagoslav (not exactly the most common and easiest to pronounce name, I know) and I am a local search marketing consultant, currently working independently at NGS Marketing (NGS stands for Next Generation Solutions).

If you are on this forum you most probably know what local search is, so I don't see why I should be explaining what I do on a daily basis.

    Now some bragging:

    - Google and Your Business forum Top Contributor (although I'm currently not that active in the public forum due to a number of reasons; but I hope to be back in shape soon)

    - Local Search Ranking Factors (David Mihm's yearly research) contributor

    - Cited and mentioned on a number of places, including Search Engine Land, SEOmoz, Search Engine People, Blumenthals, Local SEO Guide, Mihmorandum, Whitespark, etc.

I like to blog about the local search related things I see in my daily work.

Away from my job, I like doing sports (mostly soccer and volleyball) and traveling (my latest destination was Phuket).

Well, that pretty much covers the most interesting of me!

    Hey Nyag,

Welcome and really glad to have you with us. You are so active in the local search community and I'm glad you did a detailed intro to be sure folks know who you are and how much you have accomplished in the short time that you've been in the biz.

I always wondered, so glad you shared that. Now I know.

Look forward to lots of great discussions with you!

Re: Nyagoslav (A Local Search Fan) Says Hi

Thanks for the warm welcoming, Linda and Miriam!

I hope the community here will grow. I've been searching for an active niche local search forum for very, very long time. I've previously been very active on the Google Places Help Forum, but well... things didn't really developed in the way I hoped them to... And now I feel not really that cozy writing there (for whatever reason). I am still searching for my forgotten passion though

I was also previously active on the Warrior Forum, specifically in the "Offline Marketing" section where most of the "Google Places" talks take place, but well... again not exactly what I'd want from a forum - massive wrong information shared daily, incorrect rumors spread across, some even included in paid products, etc etc. I was previously occasionally participating on Linda's affiliate marketing forum's Google Places section, but I think it was mostly me and her there... I hope it won't be that way here.

I truly hope people will get more active and will share cases, problems, thoughts, even findings.

Really look forward to your participation Nyag. You have SO much great info to share and are a prolific poster. Wondered why you were not active at the Google forum.

Totally understand and agree about Warrior it's such a pitchy, make money quick environment instead of real pros with real info.

So that's a big reason I started this forum. The 5 Star forum was just temporary until I build this one and people over there aren't into local. so I never expected it to take off. It was not the right location - just a very temporary home.

PLEASE hang in there with us while we grow. It's going to be slow here at 1st because it really takes a long time to get new forums off the ground. But it will gradually grow and get more active as folks find out about it. I have not even started promoting yet, except with my direct contacts.
So TONS of people still have no idea we even exist yet.

Look forward to all you have to share!
