    How Important is Waze?

New announcement from Waze makes me wonder how important this is? Obviously, there's a direct connect with Google. Anyone got an experience or opinion to share? How should we prioritize this citation?

    Re: How Important is Waze?

I can't answer your latter questions, but I've heard that this app is SUPER popular on the West Coast (of the US) especially in Los Angeles and other places with (a) a strong car culture, and (b) a history of traffic jams. A lot of people love using it, plus it apparently has some fun voice features and stuff.

    Thanks for sharing Bill!

Dan over at Andrew's blog just posted details about how to get listed.

How to Add A Business Listing to Waze - Local SEO Guide

We all know how Google loves it when you use her tools, so since she owns Waze and Waze is location based - I would do it.

They're finally using A/B testing with Places/Local. I hope the systems are comparable enough that they can see how two totally different systems operate under certain conditions.

    Yikes!
I went to https://www.waze.com/editor/?lon=-96...2.81138&zoom=0 and clicked on the little pencil.

I'm not sure if this is the same "place" as the mobile version adds. I filled out a bunch of information though! My accounts not reporting any points

    Re: How Important is Waze?

So, I tried Waze out... and I can't get it to log in on my phone for the life of me. I log in fine on the desktop version, and when I open the phone app it continually wants me to sign up or sign in, then doesn't accept my UN/Password.

I think there's some bugs that need to be fixed before this gets big

My updates also still say "This place is not approved yet. click here to see the update request. "

    So far... not impressed.
