Has Google Done Away With CID #'s?

I am new to this forum but have heard a lot of great things from my coworkers! I have been noticing that the CID # for Google local listings has disappeared off of some of my clients pages. Google support doesn't know what I am talking about so I am hoping to get some answers here. Has there been an update I am unaware of?

    Thank for the help!!

Re: Has Google Done Away With CID #'s?

Hi there and thanks for posting.

CIDs are available if you know where to look - they just don't show on G+ Local page URL any more.

Here's an old post from 2012 when I explain now to find CID.

How to find Google Places CID on the new Google+ Local Pages

But that was before new maps came out and new maps obfuscates the CID.

So you just need to use Classic maps, then you'll see right in the URL after you click address and go to maps.
