HVAC is synonymous with local search, I'm assuming many of you have HVAC clients. One of the best citations, sources of referral traffic, (and in some cases backlinks) can be on a HVAC manufacturer website.

I wonder if we could put together an accurate list of what it takes to become a certified contractor/dealer/partner with these manufactures? In some cases, it is quite easy. As easy as filling out a request form. Obviously, clients don't become a partner with a manufacturer just to earn a backlink, but considering how many HVAC manufacturers are owned/affiliate's of other companies, many HVAC technicians can repair/install systems that are otherwise identical among different brands.

Here's my early start on this:
1. Amana/Goodman (owned by same company)
a. Level: Easy... Goodman/Amana don't have revenue requirements to be listed in their directory. They qualify most contractors, even those with competitor partners.
b. Site: Amana? Brand Residential Heating and Air Conditioning Systems
Site: Goodman > About Goodman > Find a Dealer
c. Process: a little confusing, but you need to contact someone in sales/marketing at a local distributor.

2. Rheem
a. Level: Moderate
b. Site: Independent Contractors Results
c. Process: You would need to contact a Rheem distributor in order to get signed up on the dealer locator. You would need to sign a contract with the distributor, the Dealer Locator Agreement, and then they will add the company onto the list.

3. Viessmann Boilers
a. Level: Easy
b. Site: Registration - Viessmann Partner Program
c. Process: simply fill out the form and you are a partner/listed

4. Luxaire
a. Level: Moderate
b. Site: Join Luxaire Heating and Air Conditioning
Details of partnership program: Join Luxaire Heating and Air Conditioning Certified Comfort Expert for the highest level of business support
d. Process: Submit application, requires training. Unsure of revenue requirements

5. Lennox:
a. Level: Hard
b. Site: Become a Lennox Dealer | Lennox Residential
c. Process: requirements contracts with local distributor and revenue requirements

6. Ruud
a. Level: Moderate
b. Site: Contractor Results
c. Process: Ruud Contractor :: The Focus is You.

7. Trane Comfort Specialist
a. Level: Difficult
b. Site: http://www.trane.com/residential/en/buying-a-trane/find-a-dealer.html
c. Revenue requirements are strict, very difficult for a small HVAC company with a limited crew to meet requirements. Can only be listed in the dealer locator once revenue is met + certifications.

8. American Standard (owned by Trane, cannot be both a Trane dealer and an American Standard dealer.
a. Level: Moderate
b. Site: Become an American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning Dealer
c. Process: Can be easier to meet revenue requirements for AS

9. Carrier

10. Bryant
a. Site: Bryant Premier Dealers - Dealer Locator | Heating, Cooling, Furnace & Air Conditioning Installation, Repair & Maintenance in PA, NJ and DE.

11. Friedrich
a. Site: Friedrich Air Conditioning

12. Tempstar
a. Site: Tempstar® Heating & Cooling

13. York Dealer
a. Site: York heating and air conditioning for dealers: Contact Us

14. Well Mclain
a. Site: Maintenance | SPX

15. Utica Boilers
a. Site: Utica Boilers

16. Maytag Dealer
a. Level: Difficult
b. Site: HVAC Dealer | Genuine Contractor | Maytag
c. Procress: Must be licensed with NATE, Form to begin selling with Maytag, redirects to nordyne? HVAC Distributor | HVAC Dealer | Join NORDYNE Team | NORDYNE

Look forward to any of your direct feedback on the following, perhaps we can build a comprehensive list and all benefit!
