    Howdy from Texas ;)

First! Thank you Linda for this forum! I recently found it and Im drowning in wisdom =D

So, I got into Local Search in 2012. It was kinda by accident, doing it for a friend's business. A few months later I updated some info on yelp and saw the leads, and that graph changed my life. I saw great potential connecting services/goods with customers in my community.

Now I have dozens of clients, with a ton of locations, a huge network of satisfied paying customers. The nitty-gritty of business ownership aside (revenue, sales, etc) when a friend tells me he is unemployed, I can call a handful of clients and get the guy working tomorrow. THAT has been one of the most rewarding benefits to getting into this business.

Im gonna apologize in advanced. I am not coming from an SEO background like many of you are (my business doesnt do webdesign, webmastery, SEO) so some of the technical coding and such I try to learn. Most of the time, I find, businesses already have websites up, so they dont want to devote any new monies/effort to that anyway. But I try to tell em some simple fixes to their site could help organic searches and my local search job too (NAP on every page, location in the title line) usually that involves contacting a marketing business that isnt interested in dealing with a new marketer (me) or having to deal with cousin Eddy, the guy that took a correspondence course on wordpress back in 2004.

I have clients all over Texas, and luckily many new businesses relocating in, but if any of you are thinking of joining the party I got a simple message for ya:

Jk. We'd love to have ya.
