Question Seeking Advice - Possibly Hijacked Email

    All,
This is definitely off topic but I am seeking advice from people I trust. Hopefully this is the correct place to post this.

One of my email accounts appears to have been compromised. All of a sudden I am receiving out of office messages from people I don't know and never sent email to. Likewise I am receiving "Mail delivery failed", "Undeliverable", "Unable to deliver", "Returned Mail", etc. all from people I do not know and did not send email to.

As best as I can tell these emails are not being sent from my account but they are obviously using my address as the sender address.

I am at a loss as to where to turn or how to deal with this. Does anyone have any suggestions or experience with a similar problem?

    Thanks,
    Ron

Did that - this account is on 1and1.com - but I access all of my accounts via Gmail POP3. I don't see any indication anywhere that these emails are originating from my account - just that my email address is spoofed as the sender.

    Thanks for the feedback Dusty.
