Q&A LOG & CHAT LINKS

Here is the link to the Q&A and Chat Log which is way too long to post in this thread. In fact there were so many great questions and the post is so long, it kept making the forum time-out.

NOTE: This Q & A log is unique in that Myles asked the audience to weigh in with content ideas. Look for the word "ideas" at the beginning of the Q to see all the great content generation ideas that were shared!

In the Chat log you'll find TONS of great links I dropped during the event about all kinds of local content tips, techniques & topics.

PLEASE ASK Qs WE COULD NOT GET TO BELOW! Colan and I were typing as fast as we could, but there were so many Qs we could not get to them all.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT - Before the webinar I also posted TONs of great links about content creation:

VIDEO, SLIDE DECK & WEBINAR QA COMING SOON!
Will be posted in the top post as I get them. So stay tuned and check back Friday if not sooner.

NOTE: For this one we are also going to compile all the GREAT content generation ideas that came from our amazing attendees, so stay tuned!

Linda:

Thanks for referencing it and of course admining/monitoring it. I participated and I learned a lot. In our cases we are the smb...and not the agency and then I and others act as the agencies.

We don't have the resources or marketing expertise from the agency side...but we have to be far more focused on the end result bottom line.

I learned a lot.

Dave

Thanks for your contribution today too Dave. Great webinar!

I missed the whole thing while doing QA so can't watch the replay!

During today's webinar, Don Campbell was talking about an idea I have thought about, but have not yet implemented. Recording a conversation with a business owner would be a great way to get quality content from a business owner. I think Don showed a questionaire that he uses. I wonder if Don would share that with us. Any ideas?

Michael, let me see if it's in his slide deck by chance. If not, I'll email him.

Working on rough draft of the new post which has the QA, Chat log with all the links I dropped,
Don's deck and Myle's deck. Won't be posting it til tomorrow AM though.
Lots of editing to do to get it all ready.

Just added the main slide deck and by popular request Don Campbell's slide deck as well.

PLUS cleaned up and added the IMMENSE Q&A LOG & all the resource links I dropped in chat.

NOTE: This Q & A log is unique in that Myles asked the audience to weigh in with content ideas. Look for the word "ideas" at the beginning of the Q to see all the great content generation ideas that were shared!

See it all in the top post and video coming soon!

Don's idea is great. We've used it internally to create our descriptions and we've used it for others. I know a content creator who simply had a business describe itself, and asked for descriptions of every aspect of the business that was outstanding, or competitively better, or wherein customers described why they purchased and bought from this business/ service. Questionnaires are great. Work on them. Improve them over time with insights.

It could be something as mundane as convenience. We are more convenient to every home and business in all of River City. The business could do the same thing as every competitor...but if they are the most convenient...blast it out.

Just posted the video in the top post.

Can't wait to watch and listen. It was action packed with tons of great tips!

It looks like Don's document is titled:
Customer Discovery Interview Questions

Any luck on getting a copy?

Thanks Linda!

Hi Michael, I'd be glad to share it.

I created it as a Google Doc that should be open and allow you to read or copy it. Let me know if you have any trouble accessing it.
-Don

Thank you so much Don!

I had been thinking of using recordings to get content from business owners, but I haven't made it happen yet. I certainly will now.

Thank you Linda for emailing Don, it is much appreciated!

Thanks Don, very generous of you to share. We really appreciate it!

Thanks for the list, Don. We ask a lot of questions, but your list is comprehensive and thorough, and keeps you from forgetting important questions.

The middle points enable one to create content that is authentic and real about the business, a terrific point that was made by Susan in the seminar. For a local business I think that means a lot: you want to convey realness to local customers.

We are big fans of question 7; what distinguishes you from the competition. I like to focus on that. What are your selling points. How do customers respond to that and what do they say about it.
