Deconstructing Pigeon: Infamous Pigeon Poop Slide Deck & Best Curated Content #SMX

Deconstructing Pigeon, Google's Local Search Algorithm is up now at SMZ West.

Moderator: Matt McGee, Editor In Chief, Search Engine Land & Marketing
Speakers: Adam Dorfman, Greg Gifford and Andrew Shotland

I got behind covering this talk due to a new Google bug I've been escalating to Google and helping various users with. Here it is if you care to find out more - starting at post #4. (It's a doozy!)
The Pigeon be poopin' on mall located businesses.

Anyway here is Greg Gifford's fun and lively slide deck and then I'll be madly hunting down tips and sharing as I find them.

Curating content as fast as I can. There are multiple tracks going on so I have to hunt to find the local comments.

Let the Tweets begin! :p

FYI I have a whole section about how to embed the map right in my Local SEO training. You need to do it a certain way so CID is included in the code! But Google killed the old way of doing it so now it's all changed. :)

Re: Deconstructing Pigeon: Infamous Pigeon Poop Slide Deck & Best Curated Content #SM

Boy, this is a lot of information to digest, as usual. Thanks for posting Linda!!

"Customer created content (e.g. reviews) for local business flowed back into local landing pages can automate some uniqueness factors"

Is this speaking more to reviews left on 3rd party sites being flowed back to the local landing page or more along the lines of testimonials?
