Old business address on unclaimed google+ local page question

    Hello,
I have searched this forum and I am sure the answer is here, I just can't find it.
This business has changed its mailing address. I am helping them out with their website and showing them how to get their listings on directories, etc.

They have not claimed this listing yet.

    https://plus.google.com/111330512863...65/about?hl=en

Their address and category need to be changed.

Should they claim this listing and then make the changes? Or post the forum thread where this has already been discussed.

    Thank you!

If this feature is no longer located at that address DON'T claim it. Rather report it as closed and provide the new address in the comment field. Then create a new feature at the new address. If business isn't physically conducted at the new address then the person claiming it will have to hide the address, by checking the box indicating that customers don't come to the physical address.

Claiming the old feature will just waste time and cause headaches as you can't just change addresses; a new feature has to be created and the old one closed when a business moves.

See this thread for a good discussion: http://localsearchforum.catalystemar...g-listing.html

I agree with Andrew. Close the old listing and then open the new one paying close attention to the "business at this address" box.
