Talking Stranger In A Strange Land

    Hello all-

Just wanted to introduce myself as I feel I'll be poking around here quite a bit. I worked at Hubshout as an SEO Analyst under Eric Rohrbach (a moderator on this forum) and now am working with a fairly large name corporation, implementing SEO strategies with a focus on local-- though now that I've actually started that has morphed into social, ppc, etc etc which I'm more comfortable with.

I'm interested to learn about how franchises can benefit from the local search environment (beyond google my business local) and maintain a semblance of structure / control while allowing franchise owners to still make changes on their own (training some of them up on what local search means / does for them will be one of my first projects most likely).

Of course this isn't exactly the section of the forum to ask that question, but I figured I'd give some background anyway.

    Cheers,
    Kyle

    Hey Kyle,

Welcome! Good to hear you worked with Eric who we think is awesome!

We have a Multi-location subforum that has tons of info. And that would be a great place to ask specific Qs when you have them.

Then too our Consultant's Corner would be a good place to start a discussion or ask a Q of other consultants like: " how franchises can benefit from the local search environment (beyond google my business local) and maintain a semblance of structure / control while allowing franchise owners to still make changes on their own"

We have lots of smart consultants here and many of them have walked a mile in your shoes and have probably faced similar issues.

    Thanks for joining us!

    Welcome Kyle.

Now I have Robbie Robertson's song "Somewhere Down the Crazy River" in my head. Stranger in a strange land is a line from that song.

Hey Kyle! I must have missed this post earlier

PM me if you have questions about the forum, local, or good resources to talk to about a very specific (non-public) problem. As you can see by my sig update, I'm also working with a fairly large name corporation so we might share some similar local pains :P
