    Cool Finding G+ page

Sheez, I leave town for a month and the whole local world changes! (ha). Can someone show me how to find a company's G+ page now?

    Re: Finding G+ page

Google has made it almost impossible to locate the live page. I suggest using this tool - Google+ My Business Page Finder - Michael Cottam

Or check out the process that Joy outlines here - How to Find the CID Number on Google Maps

    Re: Finding G+ page

Another quick way to find a G+ page nowadays is to search for "site:plus.google.com" and then include the business name and business location or phone number in the search query. It's not a perfect technique, but it gets the job done.

    Two other ways:

    1. Sign in and search at plus.google.com (I prefer this method).

    2. Do a Moz Local scan, which usually pulls up the listing.

    Re: Finding G+ page

Thanks guys. I think I've used them all and some are better than others depending on what you are trying to do.

I tend to lean toward Michael Cottam's tool that Colan suggested.

    WHY?

It links to both the G+ L page and the Map Maker record which makes research easier.
It can surface dupes you may not know about.

But I also often search directly in G+ as Phil mentioned - just depending on what I'm trying to accomplish at the time.

    Re: Finding G+ page

I saw a post that stated that the Michaels's page finder no longer works. I was using MOZ to get the the Google + Local page, but as of yesterday that just takes me to map. So I don't know how to get to page either.

    Re: Finding G+ page

    Hi Stephen,

Yep Google is making pages really hard to find and removed from both tools.

The easiest way that's left is a Google search. Dobo mentioned above but here is the format.

“plus.google.com” “phone OR address OR name” “about” “review”
(Or check each of those if you suspect a complicated case, or even just to be thorough.)

If you don't add “about” “review” then you could get a bunch of G+ Business pages that don't count and then you have wade through them all to see if any are verified local pages.

    Re: Finding G+ page

I was bit premature in my panic. I no sooner asked the question than I saw Phil Roazck's post above about using Plus.Google.com which solved my problem. then Linda kindly e-mailed me the information as well for which I am grateful.

    Re: Finding G+ page

Well actually what Phil suggested, searching from G+ is different than what I said. That will turn up the listings BUT it will also turn up all the straight G+ pages and brand pages so you have to click each to see what kind of page it is.

I've seen lots of companies that only have 2 G+ L listings. But you search G+ and find 12. You have to click and physically check each one to see which ones are the verified local pages.

So checking right from Google search with the parameters I mentioned, I think helps narrow things down a little better.

But on complicated cases I will often search both ways plus in Map Maker, because Google is hiding dupes like crazy lately.
