That API is doing wonders for data management... I can't believe it took Google this long to release it. I'm seeing a lot of big data management companies/local listing support companies like this get access to the GMB API, and I'm really liking it. Sure there is a review process on Google's side, so it's not 100% instantaneous, but it makes like easier for the agency, consultant, and the business owner.

Could you go over some of the benefits of the API Eric?

Re: Yext Adds Google to the PowerListings Network

The ability to push GMB information directly to Google without waiting for a postcard or pin. Updates are also processed much faster. This isn't available for most businesses/agencies though, because they've only released it to certain trusted companies (one of which is Yext). This is mainly beneficial for bulk listing management, or in the case of Yext is great if you're reselling their product.

I have to work with somewhere around 700 locations, so getting updates processed quicker and without much back and forth is really helpful. Really good for holiday hour updates, maybe a major storm hits and info needs to be changed on the fly, or a new location opens (or one relocates/closes) then all that info can be updated faster.

Not everyone will be able to use this, but if you're outsourcing the local listing management to a company who has been awarded access then it helps.
