Take a walk on the wild side with Greg Gifford

Search Engine Watch have just done a great summary of a recent Greg Gifford presentation.

As always lots of great takeaways and classic movie references!

Beyond local SEO: Greg Gifford on how to win the visibility race

By thinking about local SEO as just one part of a wider visibility strategy, you can ensure that your business has a presence across multiple channels, not just in search. That’s better for your customers as well as for you.

In his talk, Gifford gave a run-down of other key areas to pay attention to, and how to optimise each one to target exactly the local audience you want to attract.

But first, because search is still hugely important for a local business, here are some handy tricks that Greg Gifford shared which will help you get ahead in the SEO game.
Above is just a snippet, so head over to read the rest and play 'spot the movie reference'.

And if you want to see the full presentation, that's available over on SlideShare: Marketing to Local Customers: Moving Beyond Local SEO to Win the Race

What's your favourite tip from the presentation?

(Added by Linda: See wild video of Greg's preso in next post.)

Thanks Priya! You are a mind reader again. (I always wanted a clone!)
I had a video of Greg's preso to share yesterday but ran out of "handwidth".

Watching Greg's slides is always great, but HEARING him explain in rapid fire speed with all those slides is simply amazing - the audio adds a lot of impact. So here it is!

Thanks to MediaFox for the great video!

BrightonSEO highlight Greg Gifford talks local SEO

One of the stand-out speakers at BrightonSEO last week was Greg Gifford who packed his 20 minute talk on Local SEO with over 100 slides and a few good gags to boot.

Of all the speakers in the Concert Hall Greg was the one with the biggest take-away value for me and I went back to the live stream to go through the material again – just to catch some of the stuff I missed first time.

What do you guys think? Amazing right???

Greg - your slides and vids are so awesome. Not only are they entertaining, but extremely informative. Just finished watching the vid and still laughing about some parts. Keep up the good work.

All of Brighton SEO was laughing through this one, especially the James Bond tattoo, thus making Greg a British citizen.

Oh yes, Gregs session was for me the best at BrightonSEO. So many tips in about 20 minutes and very entertaining presentation .
And the Local SEO Workshop a day before with Greg was great. Can reccomend it to everyone visiting BrightonSEO in September.
