Re: Amazonís St. Patrickís Day Cookie Cutter Marketing Gimmick & 5 Takeaways for Bran

That's hilarious, and deviously brilliant. I agree, some of the best marketing plans are often ones that slip past the thinking part of the brain and hits us somewhere a lot more personal. The recent Ghostbuster's movie's an interesting one that comes to mind too, I'm convinced they used the feminist vs misogynist debate to create a huge amount of interest for an otherwise forgettable, mediocre movie. Brilliant marketing, I can't believe they turned going to see a sub-par comedy into a crusade. That kind of marketing's definitely not my forte (I'm more of a facts guy than an artist) but I can at least recognize and appreciate when someone pulls off what you're talking about. Good post.

I had to do a double take on Amazon's post yesterday myself. At first I noticed the St. Patrick's Day reference. It wasn't until a minute went by that I got the full visual.

Linda & James, I think Amazon did it on purpose to get a buzz? What do you think? Either way, it got them some attention.
