    A New Look for Insights on GMB - Illustrated

    If you haven't noticed already, GMB Insights have a new look! Mike Blumenthal covered the changes and you'll notice any references to Google Plus are now gone.

    I'm starting to second-guess some of my interpretations of the numbers based on a few things not making sense. The first graph might just be impressions but I'm circling back with Google to get a more definite answer. I really wish they'd just use the same terminology across all their products. Drives me nuts.

    The top part *looks* new but I have no idea what it really means. Just sent Google a bunch of questions.

    I have a huge problem with the new charts. Prior to the change, Google provided separate data for Website Visits, Direction Requests and Phone Calls under the click data.

    With the change they only provide total​ data for what they now call "Actions"

    If i un-check any of the fields the Total actions doesn't change.

    So i am unable to tell how many of my actions came from each segment for the time period. This is really going to be a problem for reporting. Any thoughts on whether this is a temporary oversight or permanent?

    Good point, Myles. Filtering was a great feature that made it a lot easier for clients to understand the data.

    I modified my original post because after getting clarification from Google on a couple things, a few of my initial interpretations were wrong. I'm writing up a post on it now and will update this when it's done.

    GMB New Updates - Insights

    Just saw this and thought id share, looks like Google might be solving the reporting issue most local SEO companies have. Any thoughts?
