First all, happy new year to everyone in this forum It's been a whirlwind of a year, especially with all the Google changes. Looking back at 2016, local SEOs not only had to adapt an agile strategy but also had to keep pace with the dynamic local search landscape.

Starting from Panda being made a part of Google's core ranking algorithm in January to AMP going live in February and AMP pages being featured on the news carousel in March, we witnessed the local search process becoming more refined. As we plan our strategies for 2017, it is also important to learn from what happened in 2016 (and maybe pat ourselves on the back!).
