We also have Google Treasure Maps at https://maps.google.com/maps?t=8

Sadly, I suspect these may be more accurate than the normal ones for local business...

LOL Jerry. Love the Nose Beta!

OFFICIAL FROM GOOGLE. This one is serious and disturbing!

Google is closing down YouTube at midnight tomorrow. Today is the last day!
And we thought losing Reader was bad!

Re: Happy April Fool's Day from Google

Mike Blumenthal did a good one!

Google Local Announces New Local Product and Promises Better Communications

Fitzpatrick, a dynamic multi skilled developer in the world of Maps, noted “It was a great relief to finally get the merged and updated product out the door. The reason for its long delay was our commitment to make the product bug free the first time and not have to push weekly updates and bug fixes. We think we have met that milestone. The days of lost reviews, lost listings and unfounded closings are behind us.”

“More importantly we will be holding public monthly briefings going forward laying out upcoming developments in our local products. This will allow for businesses, big and small, that depend on our Business Builder products to better plan their SEO and SEM activities in Local.”
Har! Har! I admit he had me going the 1st paragraph. I was thinking "how come Mike knows this and I've never heard anything about it? And where is the link to the original story about this?" No link. That's when I got suspicious. Then when I read the part I quoted above, I had a slight tingle of excitement that they finally maybe got it right - then I realized... alas it ain't so!
