Moving Google Places Listing From One Account to another

Any tips here? I claimed a client's listing a long time ago in my account - he now has his own and i need to move it there...what steps should i follow? I'm thinking
    1) claim listing in client account
    2) once it is verified there, delete in my account?

It has good history and reviews so i don't want to rock the boat more than i have two.
NOTE: there are actually TWO listings since his business has two locations.

that's what we did. just claimed a bare bones listing and pin verified. then added the details to match (mostly) and waited to make sure it was showing correctly. then deleted.

Just be advised reviews are tied at least in part to CID. So when you create a new listing it will be a new CID and reviews could be lost. But if NAP is the same they might re-associate with the new listing.

Keenan so you didn't lose any reviews? They transferred right over?
Right away? Or did you lose for awhile and they came back, or???

no, nothing changed as far as reviews. we made sure to copy over the NAPW exactly as it was, only chose the main category, no other details... waited for PIN.

remember we still had a fully active dashboard and corresponding listing.

i think we changed the description so we could determine when the new dashboard listing details had been accepted.

when we deleted the original account, the photos in the old listing disappeared and the new ones weren't showing up yet, so we posted images from another profile. that was a pain, because they showed up in random order and i was trying to make a picture.

one of the listings, we lost the respond to reviews button for a day or two, but it came back after poking it I think.
