"Local" Independence Day - Happy 4th of July

    fireworksLocal Search Consultants:
Are you thankful for your independence?

Think about it! Those of us here in the US, work in the most “free” country in the world. Plus Local Search Consultants have the freedom to work from anywhere - even from home if they choose to and the independence to largely create their own destiny.

I hope you take time off with family to celebrate your freedom and independence, this wonderful country we live in and this great opportunity we have in the Local Search industry.

    Freedom is a beautiful thing!

Enjoy a day off with your family and Happy 4th of July!

So is does anyone have any special plans? Those that are going on vacation probably aren't reading the forum today - but it you're around share what you are doing today.

My extended family and friends (usually about 30 of us) have a giant potluck in the park downtown where the fireworks are. It's packed with people and music all day and then a dynamite fireworks show at night. The Grandkids have a blast (literally) and it's one of our favorite days of the year.

    Hi Linda,
It is tradition for me and my family to stay home and cook a really good meal and then watch the fireworks from our yard. We are lucky to be close to the park where they do a pretty nice display. Hubby likes to pop popcorn and have it ready for our fireworks viewing!

Working with local from home is one of life's greatest pleasures and we are truly in the land of the free! Happy July 4th!

    For our potluck so far...

I'm making 2 of my family's favorites: antipasto salad and my famous baked beans. Others are bringing chili relleno casserole, sliders, BBQ chicken salad and who knows what else.

My daughter is also making these fun red, white and blue fruit kabobs she found on Pinterest. The white and blue: bananas and blueberries. Then at the end for red is a star shaped piece of watermelon. Sounds really cute.
