Hello 'eh!' from Edmonton, Alberta Canada!

    Hello fellow Local Search Gurus,

My name is Andrew Forster, and I'm located in Edmonton Alberta Canada (and yes, it's currently snowing )

I work with an agency in Canada that provides small to medium sized businesses with web development, local SEO and Adwords consulting. I've followed Linda's extremely insightful and helpful posts on the Google Places Forum for quite some time, so I thought I'd sign up here and join the fun!

I look forward to learning as much as possible about Local Search 'cause it keeps me up at night

    Hey Andrew,

    Welcome, welcome!

So you are in Darren's neck of the woods? And DO NOT TALK TO ME ABOUT SNOW!
It hit 101 here this week. So you can color me green with envy!!!

Good to have you with us. If we all share, vent, do brain dumps, figure things out and help each other here - hopefully we won't lose as much sleep!

Darren Shaw move over ... there's a new sheriff in town :P

It's funny, all these changes to the Google Places / Local / Plus platform ... and everyone comes outta the wood works (self included)

I guess it's a good thing though, makes you move outside your comfort zone and seek out advice, and connect with people who have more experience in this field. We're actually in the process of building a sweet software program that builds websites with rich markup built right in it. Oh the madness!

    Welcome Andrew!!! Eh.

From Maple Syrup to The Moose, we love having new Canuck members here. Google treats you a bit differently (often not fairly) in your great land in the far north, so it is always good to learn about how you folks make the most of the opportunities unique to Canada. I love my Canadian clients.

And...you got to have the last winter Olympics. Speaking of snow, I bet old Whistler-Blackcomb is expecting some. I miss the Olympics.

    Anyhow, a very warm welcome.
