    Ciao - This is Dino

I live in the Little Italy section of San Diego and oddly do a lot less local optimization than I used to. I maintain local listings as an added value for some of my SEM clients.

In the last year, I have transferred 75% of my business to Adwords or other paid advertising products. I've seen the writing on the wall and don't believe SEO can be a sustainable business model on it's own. Google is just too unpredictable.

Though I believe SEO is still very relevant, I believe in a more holistic approach to marketing, which involves SEO, SEM, social, email, mobile and even some offline promotions. It all depends on the strengths and objectives of the client. It's a lot to tackle, Yikes!

Anyway, glad to be a part of the community. I made the cut!!!

    Hey Dino,

Thanks for joining us! I hear your frustration with local, hence one of the many reasons I started this forum.

Will be good to have a place to compare notes and learn new tricks as this whole G+ thing rolls out. I'm afraid we are in for a very bumpy ride!
