Hello, I have opened a new GMB listing for one of my clients on 10 July. They have said that they will send a postal card but it didn't reach us.
Is there another way to validate a listing besides postal cards? How can use other methods? The industry is "car dealership". And they have multiple locations to open GMB Listings. So validating these listings is important for me.

If you build citations properly to the listing, you can trigger a phone verification. But that can get a bit more on the "black hat" side of things. Have you tried to reach out to Google?

If you didn't get the first postcard, Google will tell you to send a second. If that one doesn't arrive either, you can reach out to Google here >

Hello again,

I have sent them an email but they also didn't reply to me...

May I open a business listing that requires only phone verification and then, can I change its category? Is it allowed? Also, which category types require phone verification? I am trying to open and verify a business listing for a very long time.

The only time I've ever seen phone verification as an option was when the listing was an old, established listing that had been around for a while and I was simply claiming it.

Hello @JoyHawkins, thank you for your answer.
I have tried to trigger a "phone verification", and I couldn't, I assume you are right about that it is hard to perform. Is there another method like email verification?
Also, changing the category after opening the listing is spam or not? Does Google have a special policy for that?

The more you change the listing like that, the more likely it's going to get suspended. I would try contacting Google again using that form I listed above. It should send you an auto-reponse when you submit it. Make sure you reply to the auto-responder email and you should hear back in 48 hours.
