I've just created a website for a Google My Business Listing and linked it up to a domain registered via Google Domains.
This automatically creates the website on the domain but it is the non secure version http://

The Google help files say

"Use a Google website that provides SSL security for free.
Google provides SSL security for the sites hosted on the following Google products for free.

Google My Business
You can create a site through Google My Business and integrate it with your secure namespace domain.

'Create your free website with Google' in the Google My Business help centre
'Use your existing domain name for your new site' in the Google My Business help centre"

Should it automatically be https or is there a setting somewhere for this?

The same day as I made the OP, Friday 23rd

I've had a Google My Business Listing set up for it for a while but only just got around to setting a site up for it, saw the option to register and link it to a domain via Google, so tried it out.

Site went live virtually instantly but only on http

Anyone else linked up the site building feature in Google My Business with a domain registered via it too?

More on this.
The site is now redirecting to the https version so maybe it was a timing issue.

Problem now is it still appears to be pulling content from http as it's giving the *only secure content is displayed* warning :-(

Really seems to be a strange set-up - TJS Marketing Ltd.

Edit to add: half the links don't work on it either :-(
Anyone know what the http://business.google.com:443/ is?

Port 443 is an https port (port 80 is http).

If you try to access 443 using http you'll get this error The connection was reset because you cannot access that port without a secure connection.

You can access http://business.google.com:80 but it redirects to https://business.google.com as it should.

What exactly isn't working?

I just went to TJS Marketing Ltd.

That correctly displays your new page. I tried several links. All of them worked although they all go to your old site at TJS Marketing Ltd Search Engine Marketing Warwickshire

No broken links that I could see. No insecure pages anywhere.

I'm using Firefox on desktop (Windows 10).

What browser, device, and OS are you using?

Added: Since this is a new domain, could it have been a DNS propagation issue? That usually takes 24-48 hours, although in some locations it can be faster and for some ISPs it can take longer.

In Chrome, Opera and FF I get warning about some content being blocked as it's not secure (the little i next to the padlock in FF)

The links work OK in Chrome, Opera, FF and Edge nut in IE go to http://business.google.com:443/posts/7580762076245307861

not the external links but the ones saying posted on 23-Aug-2019 (the links to posts made by the listing)

Might just be a timing and cache issue, will leave for another day then refresh all my cache and flush the DNS

Still strange that they use base base href="http://business.google.com:443/". Shouldn't it be base href="https://business.google.com:443"?

Can you see that at the top of the code?

I can see it yes.

I'm not sure why that's there. You'll have to ask Google. :)

Just testing it in other browsers I have installed.

Firefox: no issues as I said above. I had missed the hamburger menu previously. To clarify, links there load the new site, no errors. Top links and links on page load the original (old) site, no errors.

Edge: Home page loads. Then refreshes and loads again. Them displays this:

This page is having a problem loading
We tried to load this page for you a few times, but there is still a problem with this site. We know you have better things to do than to watch this page reload over and over again so try coming back to this page later.

Chrome: Home page loads fine with no errors, padlock intact. Top links and links in page load your old original site, no errors. Hamburger menu loads new site, no errors.
