Over the weekend, Google added a couple sentences to the GMB guidelines. In the "Business description guidelines" they added the following:
I'll be honest--I can't really see any use case where someone would want to add irrelevant content but there is always a reason for guideline changes so I wanted to make sure you were all aware.Content that's irrelevant to your business or has no clear association with it isn't allowed. Refer to our overall guidelines for representing your business on Google .
