Hi guys and gals,

I have a question please. My google+ local business page had all of 7 customer reviews and the past 2 weeks it was showing only 6 now I am down to 5 what gives?

Before I say anything additional, yes, these are legitimate customer reviews.

How do I effectively reach out to google to correct this annomoly seeing how the only departments that you can reach them by phone is for Google Local and Ad Words?

Anyone have any insight on the proper channels to deal with this and get google to fix this in a timely fashion?

Seeing how I lost all 63 reviews that I had built up over 5 1/2 years when I re-branded my company, I really cannot afford to loose reviews on any account.

Please help....

Thank you,
Cam

@Cam - that's a sticky situation.

Not sure if this info would have been helpful for not losing the reviews -

AFAIK there isn't a way to get the legit customer reviews "back". Google is known to be harsh on filtering reviews. The guidelines:
"Sometimes our algorithms may flag and remove legitimate reviews in our effort to combat abuse. We know this is frustrating when it happens but believe that overall, these measures are helping everyone by ensuring that the reviews appearing on Google are authentic, relevant, and useful."

Yes, from what you've said, this stinks for you. Sorry to be the bearer of unwanted news.

Cam,

you may still want to contact Google Local phone support. In my experience, the support reps can assist with review issues and if not, they can provide insight as to why you are experiencing an issue or even escalate the issue to an engineer.

Best of luck.

Thanks a lot for the info guys. Yes, I have had success in the past with google local fixing this anomaly but the last time I spoke with them about it (they were supposedly forwarding the issue to an engineer) that was 2 weeks ago. When I did report it I was down one review, now I am down 2. I really wish that a company that pulls in 33 Billion Dollars a year would get their shit together and provide some real worlld customer service and support!

I mean seriously GOOGLE, with all things that I just mentioned why do you suck so bad at doing your jobs?

i have had this problem as have many others i should think. If i ask a customer to leave me a review and they dont allready have a google account and open one i guess google is thinking these are suspicious and deleting them. i have given up on getting review on google now.

Oddly enough, there is actually a review that is still showing for a customer that I setup his entire network at his new home and one of the things that he had me do was create a GMAIL account for him because he was still on AOL:D

However, one of the reviews that is no longer showing is from a business owner that I have done work for on 5 occasions who did create a google account so that he could leave a review on my companies behalf on GOOGLE+

So, as usual, it's and enigma wrapped in a riddle that spells GOOGLE.

I don't understand this nonsensical B.S from google! They encourage people to do this and that (such as Authorship) and then once everyone complies, they change their mind again and SAY ...NO DON'T DO THIS!

I mean I am sorry here but, this is a never ending game of tail chase which appears to me that is done with the sole intent on keeping people distracted and in a constant state of doing work for no reason!

None of this crap makes any logical sense and all that it really equates into is lost time, revenue and resources trying to do as Google wants only to have them pull the plug on you some months later!
