Saw something tonight that's probably just a test, but that I hadn't seen before. A "YouTube" tab has replaced the "Videos" tab, at least on this page:

If you click on that tab you'll see a couple of videos and a link to the business's YouTube channel.

I've poked around but haven't seen this new type of tab anywhere else. Wonder if we'll see more like it.

Interesting. Makes sense that they would promote their brand there instead of just saying "videos". I can see them tying the dashboard and YouTube more closely together in the future with features like the ability ton upload to YouTube right in the dash.

Thanks Dusty,

You said "We started seeing this..." like it just happened on it's own. But since some/most pages still have the video tab and because of things I've read, I thought the business owner had to take steps to integrate for YouTube to show as a tab. Are you saying on your accounts, it just happened?

Thanks, guys. I hadn't seen it, but not surprised I wasn't the first.

I just scrapped the part about how it's managed through the new dashboard. It's not. Long story. It's just an upgraded Plus page. So, Linda, the link you provided about the "connected channel" does seem to apply here.

Thanks for confirming Phil. I think it's just that not many in local have done the YouTube integration, so we don't see it very often. But I've seen it a few times.

But don't ever worry about sharing stuff. I often see things that are new that aren't. Stuff changes so fast and often the changes are so subtle that it's hard to know if new or not unless we compare notes!

Meant to say - wow that's a gorgeous G+ page you posted above. Just really nicely done!

Thanks, Linda. Nope, as you know, I'm never shy about mentioning what I perceive as "news" :)

What i am wondering about is how if we have multi location clients we manage the youtube connections?
A company will have one YOutube page right but what about if they have 10 locations?
Even worse i have a international client who has asked us to use the one Youtube /user account for worldwide ...

Sorry, missed this Linda. You are correct. You have to link the accounts for that to show. I was just saying that we had been seeing this Youtube link for a while.

I just wanted to add something. I just tried to link an existing youtube channel with a clients G+. The client has a total of 3 G+ Pages. 1 for doctor and 2 verified for the brand. Youtube gave me the option to link to the Doctors G+ page or keep it as Youtube. When I chose to keep it as Youtube, Google created an new G+ page with the name of the Youtube Channel. There is no option to link to a verified places page. I then disconnected the YouTube Channel from the newly created G+ page and Google kept the new page. Kinda of a mess...

Hey Dusty, RU psychic? I've just been doing research on G+ videos today.

Since you are doing a lot with video. There is an important post near the top of the Private Pro Forum I'd love to have you weigh in on.

As far as the Youtube integration goes - I'm still trying to figure this out. So confusing esp if different pages and profiles.

Peggy the TC at the following G+ Community is AWESOME at stuff like this. Ping +Peggy K over at the YouTube Google+ Integration community and see if she can help. https://plus.google.com/u/0/communities/116715546192712015485

Thx for the reply Linda, @Dusty i am so not surprised with your experience thx for sharing it! The complexity of multi-location setups is frustrating!

We have noticed the Google + and Youtube integration for a couple of months now, but it can be particularly confusing if you are optimizing for multiple locations.

This seems to be another way Google is pushing their new Google + comment system and business integration.

To connect a youtube channel with a Google + Business page, you must make sure that the login that was used to create the videos also an admin on the Google + Business page. you will then have the option to link the two and change the name of the youtube channel.

You can only link one youtube channel to one Google + Business page, so if your business has franchises, you may need to create several youtube accounts in order to have the "Youtube" tab displayed on each of the locations.

Google seems to be connecting their services more and more, which is making them a bit more confusing!
I hope this helps!

Thanks! That's the issue we are having. Most clients have separate logins. For newer Youtube Channels with little activity we are closing it down and/or just creating a new channel based off the G+ Local. I'm wondering if there would be any issue with just adding the same videos to each new connected channel for multiple locations.
