Unable to Verify after Requesting Access

Hello Forum!

Alongside many of the problems that have developed through COVID-19, here comes something new. After submitting a request for access to certain GMB listings, we wait the allotted 7 days as per usual. However, recently we have been getting stuck on the second step of this process as when we try to claim/verify the listing we get the "Sorry" pop up on the bottom of the screen.

Has anyone else experienced this or figured out a work around? We are attempting to use the Google Support Form right now as the only other option is to create a duplicate and once verified have them merged together.

This has been happening to us as well with some listings but we haven't been able to figure out the issue with Google yet. I think there is something wrong with the direct verification system - at least for us. It may have something to do with the type of business you are trying to verify?
