Hi. I'm hoping an expert can help me please!

This is in regards to submitting a GBP business verification video for a client. Does the client have to be logged into the Google account that owns the unverified listing?

We don't give our clients access to our agency account since we have many other clients in there. How is the client supposed to record and submit the video while logged in if they don't have access to our Google agency account?

We would shoot the video internally, but their office is a 3-hour drive from our nearest team member! Not exactly convenient.

I'm really hoping there's a legit workaround. A solution would be amazing right now! Thanks so much.

If you're managing listings for a business, you should always make them the owner of the listing (you are the manager). This is the way Google wants it because a business should always have access and control of their listing even if they hire outside companies. If it's set up this way, the business can login and complete verification. Google also wants the business owner doing the verification video.

They need to claim the profile and allow you access as the manager just a Jo suggested.

It makes sense as it helps ensure each GBP is connected to the business owner. There was a time when agencies ran hundreds of profiles often with fake info they could sell on to as leads to businesses.
