A business with a spam location was removed from maps. Now they are issuing a subpoena on google to find out who clicked suggest an edit.

Will Google reveal the name of person who clicked suggest an edit?

They will give them whatever info they know. Name, backup phone number on the account, email etc.

Thank you, and I have a follow up question.

Isn’t it a pointless lawsuit if the company starting the lawsuit isn’t eligible to be on Google in the first place?

It all depends on how the legal system sees it. I'm not qualified to give legal advice 😆
