Yes, posts are indexed by Google. And they are used in two different algos.

I've seen them indexed IF you have published the GMB website. GMB automatically publishes your posts there, and considers that website and its content in standard search.

There have also been a couple of studies where posts have been tested to see if they have a ranking factor for local listings. And yes they do seem to have a positive impact there as well.

So really, there's no good reason *not* to use Google Posts ;-)
