We operate an auto detailing business in a fixed location. We offer vehicle pickup and drop-off and shuttle service. We have received 'professional' advice to add service areas to our GBP. I have read mostly to not do it. I am wondering the impacts positive and negative that it may make. Thanks for any insight and recommendations you all have. We will be adding mobile detailing in the near future, and I assume adding service areas would be more appropriate then? We appreciate it greatly.
 
It's one of those things that isn't really bad or good. Adding a service area can let potential customers know what your service area is. If you see a benefit to that, I say go for it.
